By prioritizing low-carbon solutions, and partnering with communities , we are able to drive affordability, amplify sustainable practices, and empower local communities, addressing climate change and providing global climate solutions while generating significant social and environmental impact.

We have local exposure, understand local requirements to a cultural base which is important in delivering value. We are expanding and bolstering economic opportunity and development, social and environmental transitions with a shift to clean energy access through a range of products which include, clean cookstoves, solar powered lanterns and induction cookstove, which provide access to safe cleaner and more sustainable alternative to cooking and lighting in Kenya. The technology aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and create jobs. To empower low-income communities and transform lives. Bringing durable, safe, affordable clean energy to households. Empowering women and girls mainly to live a healthy, productive and equitable life. Working with last mile communities to bring affordable cost-saving clean energy products solution which are delivered reliably and on-time. Products which are appropriate, Acceptable, Accessible and Affordable.
The solar powered lantern can be charged by solar or public grid. The solar powered lantern complements efficient clean cookstove .The lantern comes with radio, mobile charging and other digital products features.
We are also collectively conscious of the need to account for safety, efficiency, economic, and societal considerations when designing and manufacturing the products. It’s important to innovate responsibly so we return benefits to our funders and do no harm to the environment. Our clean energy access projects have more than just a climate impact, they strengthen the communities around them too.

Our strategy is to serve more than 15 million people in energy poverty in the next 10 years. KiotaSIC’s clean energy products reduce climate change, create new jobs, and enable families to save money. We are keen on productive use of renewable energy to increase productivity, strengthen local businesses, create jobs, expand economic opportunities, and spur long-term development in peri-urban and rural communities.

Kiota Social Innovation Center seeks to provide a space around which a supportive ecosystem on how to invent, adopt or adapt ideas that can deliver better results will be built. The initiative aims to strengthen invention ecosystems in Kenya and wider Africa to support pathways for inventors and inventions to take ideas to impact.
The hub will house R&D facilities for the development of innovative products and solutions, a hardware prototyping lab dedicated to product design and innovation, Design Centre and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Experience Zone for capacity building and technical training (SDG 9). The hub will be strategically located within Nairobi.
This hub will give the community the mindset, tools, and techniques to generate new ideas and new startups. This will be a Hub for Business Innovation ,a vibrant place where people from all over the world can share their ideas and work together to transform business and society. It will open a new world of opportunities to collaborate and engage with a dynamic ecosystem of innovators.
We are focusing on generating new disruptive business ideas for products and services, we are aiming to give youths and women the priority in the society , by providing a space where they will innovate, learn and grow (SDG 5).
